The improvement of the body and udder hygiene influence on the milk safety and composition on small dairy farms in Serbia

The hygienic condition of dairy cows and their udders in 128 small household farms different regions Serbia, producing mostly milk, having 5-15 cows, a milk cooler at least one milking machine, was evaluated by the following indicators: 1. general assessment body cleanliness, 2. visual inspection teats udder base, 3. maintenance rated on scale 0 1 or to 5. samples were taken each visit farm after cooling tested for protein fat content, somatic cell count (SCC) total number microorganisms (TNM). content determined Gerber method, Kjeldahl TNM according ISO 4833-1:2013 method SCC using Fossomatic TM. IBM SPSS program used statistical data processing. Capacity, housing system, breed, capacity occupancy had very significant impact hygiene parameters, milk. parameters showed continuous trend improvement relation visits. mean scores increased visit, with differences between visits (F=9.63, P<0.0001). varied significantly (F=5.17, tended show influence rate (F=2.221; P?0.1), but no (P=0.480; F=0.901).
